SOE Handbook

The School of Economics’ mission is to provide our students with economic and quantitative skills that will enable them to develop economic insights on phenomena in technologically complex environments, to contribute to the body of economic knowledge, and to inform, educate, and generally interact with the community at large.

The School of Economics Handbook explains the curriculum of the School of Economics (SOE) and outlines the policies and procedures governing the relationships between students and the School of Economics. It is an informal supplement to the General Catalog, which is the official document of the Institute pertaining to course and graduation requirements. In particular, it treats the curriculum presented in the current Catalog. You may graduate under the catalog which was in effect at the time of your first semester at Tech. This handbook is designed to provide you with sufficiently detailed information to manage your program of study effectively. Your suggestions for improving this guide are most welcome. This handbook is prepared by the School of Economics, Room 208, Old CE Building, 221 Bobby Dodd Way.
