Brian Hunt

Brian Allen Hunt is a visiting professor from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, Department of Economics at Georgia State University where he teaches microeconomic for managers, international trade and global finance, intermediate macroeconomics, and industrial organization. For the 2007-2008 academic year at Georgia Tech, Mr. Hunt will be teaching environmental economics, international economics, and industrial organization.

Mr. Hunt received his BA (1995) in International Studies and Economics from the University of South Carolina and his MA (2000) in Global Trade, Finance, and Economic Integration from the Graduate School of International Studies at the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. In addition to his professional academic employment, Mr. Hunt has worked in international banking with banking institutions such as US Bank and Bank One and has also served as a freelance, open-source intelligence analyst for Intellibridge Corporation (Washington, DC) covering economic, security, and political issues in East and Southeast Asia.

His current research interests include the economics of oil and energy, environmental regulation, national security issues in FDI and international trade, financial market crises and contagion effects, and vulnerabilities of financial markets.
