Professor Emeritus
Dr. McCarty holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Georgia State University. Her teaching interests are principles of economics, economic policy, environmental and natural resource economics, monetary theory and policy, and international economics. Her current research interests include energy policy in the Carter Administration, U.S. policies toward productivity growth, and current problems of economic development. She is retired as of June 1999 and is currently writing a book.
