Dr. Besedes joined the School of Economics in 2007 after spending four years as assistant professor of Economics at Louisiana State University. He obtained his Ph.D. from Rutgers University in 2003. His research interests are in international trade, particularly in duration of international trade and trade at the product level. He has recently started research projects in social networks and experimental economics. He has taught courses in microeconomics and international trade.
