Admissions Criteria
While reviewing applications, the School of Economics Admissions Committee considers all aspects of the candidate’s file. Since every applicant is unique, a comprehensive list of all considerations is not possible; however, the following is a partial list of factors considered:
- Undergraduate major
- Undergraduate and graduate GPA
- Breadth of coursework, especially coursework in economics, mathematics, and statistics
- GRE scores
- Letters of recommendation
- Work experience
- Awards and honors
- Statement of Purpose
A minimum grade point average of 3.0 in undergraduate upper division coursework is required for admission to graduate study at the School of Economics.
